Straw Target Game
A playful blowing activity where your child uses a straw to move a pom-pom towards a target.
HOW LONG
2–3 minutes.
Let your child take normal breaths between turns and keep the activity comfortable.
MAKE ITÂ PLAYFUL
Create a pom-pom race or set up different targets around the table.
WHEN TO STOP
Stop if your child becomes dizzy, breathless, uncomfortable or distressed.
What to Notice
- Blowing:
Can your child direct their breath through the straw? - Control:
Can they guide the pom-pom towards the target? - Pausing:
Can they pause and take a normal breath between turns? - Comfort:
Do they remain comfortable throughout the activity?
